Kathy is an educator with almost twenty years of experience working with new Canadians. She has taught every age of learner, from preschool to adult, across several provinces and countries. A few of her highlights include teaching LINC classes at a settlement organization, teaching in the English Language Program at a university, and teaching adults at a private school.
Her most recent teaching experiences, prior to moving to her current position, include teaching middle school Language Arts, Social Studies and Health, and teaching English to multilingual learners in high school. In her current role, she works alongside educators and schools across the province as they enhance practices for cultural and linguistic inclusion. Supporting and celebrating growth, whether it’s personal or professional, and whether it’s within adults or youth, is her passion.
